Head of the Migration Service of Odesa loses car - reasons.

The head of the Migration Control Department in Odesa, Andrii Moraru, has had his Mercedes-Benz G400d car confiscated. This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
This information was obtained from the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
Confiscated vehicle
Andrii Moraru purchased and registered the Mercedes-Benz G400 D in 2023 in the name of his mother, Natalia. However, her income, according to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, did not match the value of the vehicle. On December 11, 2024, the panel of judges of the VAKS satisfied the claim of the SAP, recognizing the possession of the vehicle worth 5.6 million UAH as unjustified. Moreover, the court decided to confiscate the car to the state revenue.
Lawyers tried to appeal this decision but, once again, without success - the Supreme Court ultimately upheld the confiscation. Additionally, in the summer of 2024, the official was caught while receiving a bribe of 20,000 dollars.
Car specifications

The nine-speed automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC provides smooth and efficient gear shifting. The permanent all-wheel drive 4MATIC offers excellent passability and stability during driving. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.4 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h. The trunk volume is 487 liters.
We remind you that recently we reported on an official who concealed 83 million hryvnias. Also about previous court decisions regarding Serhii Moraru's vehicle.
The court's decision to confiscate the Mercedes-Benz G400d from the head of the Migration Control Department in Odesa, Andrii Moraru, has become final. This decision was made due to the inconsistency between Moraru's mother's official income and the value of the car. This is not the first case in Ukraine where property of officials is confiscated due to ownership exceeding their official income.
