Who will be the president of the International Olympic Committee: Media named the candidates.


Seven candidates are competing for the position of head of the International Olympic Committee. The list includes Prince Faisal Al-Hussein, Sebastian Coe, Kirsty Coventry, Johan Elias, David Lappartient, Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr., and Morinari Watanabe.
The candidates will speak to all IOC members via video link during the meeting in Lausanne in January 2025. The IOC electoral congress, where the new president will be elected, will take place from March 18 to 21, 2025, in Greece.
Thomas Bach has been the head of the IOC since 2013 but can no longer be re-elected. His term consists of two terms.
Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced the decision to leave the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower. However, they will be replaced with lighter ones, as the current structure weighs about 30 tons.
