Canadian military personnel are training Ukrainian defenders in advanced tactics and enhancing cooperation with allies as part of Operation UNIFIER. The main goal is to ensure protection and peace in the homeland.
Since 2015, Canadian military personnel have trained over 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers under Operation UNIFIER. After the start of the Russian invasion, training was put on hold, but it was resumed in the United Kingdom, Poland, and Latvia.
Canadian military personnel also taught Ukrainian defenders tactical medical skills.
Canadian Immigration Minister Mark Miller has imposed restrictions on the number of temporary residents - a first in the country's history.
It is worth noting that a group of Ukrainian pilots successfully completed training on F-16 fighters in the UK.
