In Bukovina, a record for Ukraine was set in the game of rolling Easter eggs after Easter. About 423 people participated in the game, which took place in a wooden trough. This record was officially recorded by a representative of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, reported the head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration, Ruslan Zaparanyuk. In the Mamariv Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the tradition of the game of rolling Easter eggs in a wooden trough after the Easter holidays is very widespread. This year, the rector of the church, Father Ioan, decided to break the record for the number of participants in the game, and he succeeded.'There is an ancient tradition in Bukovina: every year on Bright Monday, after Easter, children play an unusual game – rolling Easter eggs. In the Mamariv Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, this tradition has been actively supported for over two decades. This year, the rector of the church, chaplain of the Chernivtsi border detachment, Father Ioan, decided to take it a step further – to set a record for the largest number of participants playing this game simultaneously,' said Zaparanyuk. In the planned mass rolling of Easter eggs in the wooden trough, 423 people participated. The record was officially recorded by a representative of the National Register of Records of Ukraine.According to Zaparanyuk, it was very joyful to watch the children play and fill the space with joy, warmth, and a friendly atmosphere. Participants received gifts, but the most important for them were the unforgettable emotions, new acquaintances, shared joy, and faith in good.In the game, each participant had to leave their Easter egg in the wooden trough. If the egg touched other eggs, the player took their egg and all the eggs it touched. The winner was the one who had the most eggs left after a certain number of attempts.During the event, two memorandums of cooperation were also signed: between the Chernivtsi-Bukovinian Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and Mamariv Territorial Community, as well as between Mamariv Community and the 31st border detachment named after General Horunzhy Oleksandr Pylykivych. These events, which unite people and contribute to the preservation and popularization of traditions, are important for Ukrainian society.
