Germany invests in Ukrainian UAVs: Spiegel learned the details.

Germany will provide Ukraine with more than 100 million euros for the creation of strike drones
According to information from Der Spiegel, the German government will allocate over 100 million euros for the creation of strike drones of the AN-196 type in Ukraine. These drones will have the capability to operate at a distance of over 2 thousand kilometers.
This initiative is part of the German government's plan to support the Ukrainian defense industry through investments in the production of combat drones AN-196, which will be used for 'deep strikes'. These drones will be able to fly more than 2 thousand kilometers, and with the funds allocated by Germany, Ukraine will be able to produce several hundred such drones.
'The European Union is already trying to integrate Ukraine into the defense industry and utilize its experience in the war with Russia. This specifically concerns the drone manufacturing industry. If a few more countries invest more funds in the Ukrainian defense industry, Ukraine will significantly grow thanks to such support.'

The AN-196 'Lyuty' combat drone is a kamikaze drone with a range of over a thousand kilometers. The first serial samples were produced in the summer of 2023, and at the end of August of the same year, Ukraine used this drone to attack a Russian military base in Perevalne.
It was previously announced about joint production of drones between Ukraine and Great Britain.
During the creation of strike drones of the AN-196 type, German assistance of over 100 million euros can significantly enhance Ukraine's potential in the defense sector and its ability to produce high-tech weapons. This also signals an expansion of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of defense industry.Read also
