Tragedy in Khmelnytskyi: the parents of the former regional council deputy were killed
During the attack on Khmelnytskyi, the parents of the former regional council deputy Oleh Bilyavets were killed. According to deputy Serhii Ivashchuk, the deceased were acquaintances of Oleh.
«Heartfelt condolences to Oleh and Olena Bilyavets on the loss of their loved ones… May the good, bright memory of your mother and father forever remain in the hearts of relatives, friends, and all who knew, loved, and respected them, and may God give you the strength to endure this loss», – wrote Ivashchuk.
According to information from 'Glavkom', Oleh's parents lived in Krasyliv in a house. During a nighttime shelling by the Russian army, their house was hit by a missile, which caused their death. This tragedy occurred when both individuals were over 70 years old.
New details of the tragedy in Khmelnytskyi
On the night of May 25, Khmelnytskyi region suffered again from enemy shelling, leading to infrastructure destruction, deaths, and injuries among peaceful residents. A witness described the horrifying attack.
According to the head of Khmelnytskyi OVA, Serhii Tiurin, as a result of the attack, four people were killed, and five were injured by shrapnel, among them – a child and an elderly woman who is in serious condition in the hospital.
Moreover, as a result of the strike, six private houses were destroyed, and over 20 residential buildings were damaged.
After this tragedy in Khmelnytskyi, it becomes clear how brutal war can be and how it affects peaceful residents. The authorities must respond to such events and take measures to protect their population from enemy attacks.
