It became known which occupiers Ukraine does not hand over for prisoner exchange.

Representative of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Bielousov reported that criminals guilty of murders and rapes are not subject to exchange. It is important that they are punished and feel the responsibility for their actions.
Bielousov noted that the exchange of such persons depends on the conditions that will be agreed upon with the Russian side, as well as on the willingness of the relatives of the deceased for this process. Ukraine refrains from naming the specific number of released prisoners to avoid complicating future exchanges.
Ukrainian law enforcement identified 18 prisoners guilty of committing serious crimes such as murders and rapes. An official representative of the authorities emphasized the importance of holding such criminals accountable and preventing them from having the opportunity for exchange. The exchange process depends on numerous conditions and the willingness of the victims' relatives. To avoid complications and improve the prospects for future exchanges, the Ukrainian side is currently refraining from specifying the number of released prisoners.
