The court imposed a preventive measure on Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshov: decision announced.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has decided to impose a preventive measure on Deputy Prime Minister for National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov. The court set bail at 120 million hryvnias and restrictions for the official.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported on June 23 that Chernyshov was suspected under articles regarding the abuse of office and receiving illegal benefits in particularly large amounts. The high-ranking official is the sixth person in a high-profile corruption case that reveals a large-scale scheme in the construction sector.
According to the investigation, the criminal scheme in the construction sector was organized by a capital developer with broken templates, which involved obtaining a valuable plot of land for a residential complex through corrupt actions involving influential individuals, including the then Minister for Community Development and Territories Oleksiy Chernyshov.
Case Summary
The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed strict preventive measures on the Deputy Prime Minister, who is suspected of a corruption scandal in the construction sector. This case is a bright example of how a corruption network can involve influential officials and large sums of money, but thanks to the work of justice, offenders can be exposed and held accountable.
