The State Special Communications Service named the number of cyberattacks over the past six months.

In the first half of 2025, Ukraine was subjected to 3.8 million cyberattacks. Usually, these are carried out by pro-Russian hacker groups. Colonel Taras Dziuba from the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine stated this in the Morning.LIVE program.
Cyberattacks on Ukraine in the last six months
According to Dziuba, most of the attacks come from pro-Russian hacker groups, particularly 'Armageddon', which is associated with the FSB.
According to the expert, government institutions, government systems, and users are targeted, with phishing emails being used for the attacks.
The Colonel also spoke about Russia's information operations. He noted that all narratives can be traced in the speeches of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
'Putin mentioned the overall theme of information operations at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Upon deeper reflection, all narratives by which Russia is currently acting can be traced. First of all, he aims to once again demonstrate the ineffectiveness of sanctions to his partners. He tries to show that even with all the restrictions, Russia continues to develop its defense economy', Dziuba emphasized.
In May of this year, hackers from the GRU of the Russian Federation launched a cyberattack on Great Britain, attempting to target Western logistics structures and technology companies.
Earlier, we reported about the cyberattack by Russian services on the War&Sanctions portal, which the GUR successfully repelled.
The efforts of pro-Russian hackers aimed at Ukraine signal a trend that the Russian leader emphasizes and supports another type of Russia's aggression in cyberspace.
