In August 2025, some Ukrainian citizens will receive an additional pension of up to 3,000 UAH. This concerns payments dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. This was reported by the

Who is entitled to additional payments of up to 3,000 UAH to pensions

According to the resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers 'On the establishment of the amounts of one-Time monetary payments for Independence Day of Ukraine', provided for by the norms of the law 'On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection' and 'On victims of Nazi persecution', in August, some pensioners will receive additional payments. Depending on the category, the amount of the supplement will range from 450 to 3,100 UAH. In particular, assistance will be provided to war participants, former prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos, and persons who were forcibly taken for labor. Additional funds may also be received by members of the families of deceased war veterans.

Sizes of additional monetary assistance

The amount of the one-time monetary payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine depends on the category under which citizens fall. Specifically: - 450 UAH will be received by war participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, persons who were forcibly taken for labor, partisans' children, underground fighters; - 650 UAH may be received by relatives of the deceased (dead) war veterans, whose status is established in accordance with p. 1 art. 10 of the law 'On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection', members of the families of deceased (dead) defenders, wives (husbands) of deceased persons who were disabled due to the war, and did not remarry, wives (husbands) of deceased UBD, war participants and victims of Nazi persecution, who were recognized during their lifetime as persons with disabilities due to general illness, labor disability, who did not remarry; - 1,000 UAH — combatants, injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and former minors (at the time of imprisonment were under 18 years old) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, children born there; - 3,100 UAH — persons with special merits to the Motherland; - persons with disabilities due to war and former minors (who were 14 years old at the time of imprisonment) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, labor disability, and for other reasons: III group — 2,700 UAH; II group — 2,900 UAH; I group — 3,100 UAH. The amount of monetary assistance will be credited together with the main pension payment. Previously, we wrote that pensions, for which citizens had the right but could not receive on time, from the date of submission of the corresponding request. The amount of payments for each will be individual. We also reported that in Ukraine, it is planned to provide who have more than the norm of service. Thus, each additional year will guarantee an increase in the pension payment by 1%. In August 2025, Ukrainian pensioners will have the opportunity to receive additional payments of up to 3,000 UAH related to the Independence Day of Ukraine. The amounts of assistance will depend on the category and status of each citizen, which will improve their social security.
