The CEO of the state enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine' has been served a notice of suspicion for illegal enrichment. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, on Telegram on July 21.
Kravchenko disclosed that the CEO of 'Forests of Ukraine' is one of the key figures in the forestry sector. According to him, he is a civil servant of category 'A', and under this status he bears special responsibility. Today, he was served a notice of suspicion for illegal enrichment.
It is known that in 2021, while still in the position of Head of the State Forest Agency, he received 10.4 million UAH in assets that exceeded legal income. This included an apartment in Kyiv for over 9 million UAH, registered under a front person. According to the NAPK, the difference between official income and acquired assets amounted to 7.9 million UAH.
The suspect has currently been detained. The Prosecutor General noted that this is only a separate episode in dozens of criminal proceedings related to the state enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine', and work on this continues.
