Strawberries become cheaper, grapes become more expensive: how prices for berries changed in June.


In the supermarkets of Ukraine in June, changes in prices for popular summer berries were noticeable. According to data from the Minfin portal, prices for strawberries and grapes fluctuated.
Strawberries have become more affordable
According to the portal, the prices for strawberries have noticeably decreased. If in May a kilogram of this berry cost on average 294.48 hryvnias, then in July the price is only 260.00 hryvnias per kilogram. Thus, the price of strawberries decreased by 12%.
Grapes have become more expensive
In May, the average price of grapes was 263.91 hryvnias per kilogram, and in July it decreased to 249.15 hryvnias. However, prices for grapes can vary significantly in different retail chains. For example, in the Novus chain, the price is 199.00 hryvnias per kilogram, in Megamarket - 307.80 hryvnias, in Auchan - 229.90 hryvnias, and in Metro - 259.90 hryvnias.
Price increases for meat products
Moreover, in Ukraine, there is an increase in prices for boiled pork, bacon, and lard. The market for summer berries in Ukrainian supermarkets has shown several interesting trends: a decrease in the price of strawberries and an increase in grape prices, which can vary in different stores. It is also worth noting the rise in the cost of meat products, which may influence buyers and their choice of products during shopping planning.
In June, changes in the prices of strawberries and grapes were observed in Ukrainian supermarkets. While strawberries have become more affordable, the price of grapes, on the contrary, has slightly increased. Additionally, there is a rise in prices for meat products, which may affect consumers.
